Johnny Cornell and Shane Matthews

John
Cornell (JC) has been in radio
since 1982. With a BA in communication
from the University of Alabama,
coupled with post graduate work
at the University of Florida,
JC started in television as sports
director/anchor at WHLT-TV in
Hattiesburg, MS in 1988. He then
spent 8 years at WCJB-TV20 in
Gainesville, Florida as an anchor/reporter
and Sports Director/anchor until
1997. Currently JC is Vice President
at Cornerstone Financial Group
working as a Financial Planner
in Gainesville. He has two children,
Jack and Sam.
Shane Matthews (QB) was born in
Cleveland, MS. He was a 3 sport
star in high school and was named
Mississippi High School Player
of the Year as a senior. In college
at the University of Florida,
Shane led the Gators to SEC Championships
in '90 and '91, was named All
SEC Quarterback '90-'92 and SEC
Player of the Year '90-'91. While
at UF, Shane set 51 school records
and 19 SEC records. He was inducted
into the University of Florida
Hall of Fame in 2002. Shane went
on to play 14 years in the NFL,
twice named NFL Player of the
Week. He is the founder of CAMPQB,
the top quarterback camp in the
country. Shane has 2 children,
Brooke and Luke. |

experience to the airwaves. Dan
is joined each day by the biggest

like Kobe Bryant, David Stern,
Brett Favre, etc. No show in sports

Jeff
is a former All-Sec pitcher for
the Gators who now does the color
for the Gator Baseball radio network.
He also hosts the televison show
Gatorzone weekdays on Sun Sports.
You can hear him as the public
address announcer in the O'Connell
center for UF Volleyball and Basketball
games. So tune in for a true Gators
perspective on Florida sports
and the national scene every weekday
on the Morning Doubleheader
Adam Schick serves as the play-by-play
voice for Gator Women's Basketball,
Softball, and Soccer. He hails
from Atlanta, Georgia and is a
diehard fan of the Braves and
Falcons (still looking for some
championships from them). Despite
his home state, Adam was raised
as a Gator living deep within
enemy territory and followed the
family tradition in graduating
from the University of Florida.
His radio career started at 13
when an Atlanta radio station
named him the "Youngest Sportscaster
in America" after a local
talent search. He has been trying
to live up to that billing ever
since! |
